From my original blog, "Elementals" Apr 2005:
'Round about the time I stared seeing the little lights dancing in the massage room, I had an interesting experience with acupressure.
I'm taking Jin Shin Do (r) classes from a masterful teacher in Nashville, and it is work that appeals to me on several levels, one of which is the way time is warped in these sessions. Toward the end of one day, I had a client show up who was amenable to me trying some of this new acupressure on her. As I centered and prepared to start, I looked down and saw a tiny constellation of green pin-point lights on her skin, the color of new tree leaves in Spring.
So, I put my fingers there (they were acupoints that I was going to use, anyway), and she immediately said, "how did you know that that hurt?". Instead of saying something freaky like, "well, the points were all lit up", I said, "the points just call to me sometimes".
I've only had the light phenomenon that one time, but I do consistently have the sense of the points as being "rivers", as having "life", as "buzzing", "vibrating", or merely singing in my head.
I used to be very intuitive when I was little, and then I gradually ignored the intuition to concentrate on science because it was tangible.
What we now call science they used to call magic.
I figure that as it relates to psychic phenomena, bioenergy, and telepathy, we're at the stage in science today where our ancesters were a few hundred years ago as regards magnetism, electricity, x-rays, and non-visible radiation: we just don't have the tools to measure it yet. But give us time. All will become clear. Some things will be debunked, others incorporated into everyday life. Just like the PDA cell phone. Now that's magic.
I've started tuning back in to my intuition these last few years since beginning massage school. Seems like I can't ignore it now, I'm fairly bludgeoned with it every day. Whatever it is that's trying to communicate with me has made it clear that it is important. So now I listen, actively seeking the messages that are coming through. Great Spirit? Little spirit? Don't know. I only know that it seems to be Divine in nature, totally absent of malice and only concerned with increasing the amount of love and healing in this world. A good voice to listen to, I'd say.
